New Year. New Project. FIRST Book.

Soooooo yeah, New Year, New Project, First book.

A couple years ago I noticed that as an artist in the church, much of the art I was making had a very short shelf life. Whether it be music, graphic design, words or anything else; the pace of church is often fast and the time in which the art stays around can be quick.

That’s when I made this website.

The purpose began as a place to save all the things I’ve been making on a digital platform. I’ve enjoyed sharing and posting the work I’ve done. It’s been freeing for me to see some of the work I’ve done have a little longer life and hopefully inspire some other creative ideas.

You should check out the book Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon, he talks a lot about why you should own your own domain. After reading that book, I thought differently about the way I save my work and the way in which I go about working with others.

2019 had a lot of great projects, but like I said, it’s 2020 now. Which means I’m close to finishing something brand new.

New Year. New Project. First book.

For now, I’ll leave out the name and just show you the current status of the cover. The book is written and going through an extensive editing and formatting process, which isn’t so fun. But, through it all, I am so excited to finally finish this and have all of you read it.

The book’s theme surrounds worship teams and worship leaders; it is a compilation of stories, thoughts and experiences from my years in church and in worship. I’ve enjoyed the process of looking back in my life and seeing where God has taken me and also looking forward to see where I still might be headed.

I’ve been writing this for over a year now and have had many experiences that have given me plenty to write about.

Stay tuned. It’s almost done.

New Year. New Project. First book.

2020 is the year you read the entire Bible.
