There is a passage of scripture from the book of 1 Samuel 2 that really invaded my mind and my prayers. It says that the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and also with man. I began to realize and see the I really have nothing with Him, without His grace, and without His favor.
I don’t deserve the life I have, but for someone reason God has loved me in a way I couldn’t describe, it’s simply favor. Through all the fires and floods of life, through dark days and endless nights, He has remained faithful.
This is the cry of this song and the lyrics of my heart. Every night I lay my hands on my sons head and pray these lyrics, Lord bless him with the favor that comes from you.
No matter where you’re at, He loves you. He wants to bless you with his favor.
